How do I know if I have mice or rats?

Mice droppings are small (3–6mm), dark, and pointed. Rat droppings are much larger (12–20mm). Mice gnaw marks are small and irregular; rat gnaw marks are larger with incisor ridges. Mice are smaller (15–20g) and more common in homes. Rats are larger (150–500g) and more often in basements, garages, and commercial areas.

Is rodenticide (poison) safe to use inside my home?

We strongly prefer snap traps over interior rodenticide because poisoned mice die inside walls, causing odor problems. Rodenticide is used in exterior, tamper-resistant stations only. Children and pets cannot access the bait in these stations.

How many mice do I likely have?
